| The first coppicing
in fifty years! Restoration is under way with the cut material being windrowed
for subsequent processing by a woodchipper. After chipping and composting
the mulch was sold for use in gardens. Note the retention of the oak standard
and some of the previously coppiced ash stools - these will be cut as part
of the ongoing restoration over the course of the next twenty years. |

| The first recut
in this coup after restoration is being undertaken over a period of three
years. Here, strong regrowth of coppiced ash has produced these useful stems
for construction use. |

| A pure stand of
hazel with little canopy, cut 9 years after restoration. Regrowth has been
so strong that the cut hazel is now past its best. Shorter rotations will
be adopted in future. |
