Existing Woodland - Coup 3
1996
A large coppiced ash stool is uncovered in the restoration cut. Stools like this may be several centuries old and care will need to be exercised in coppicing this. Best practice would be to cut just some of the stool initially with further cuts when the coup is recoppiced in 7 and 14 years time.

1998
Coppicing provides light and it is this that drives the biodiversity of the woodland. Here wild garlic enjoys spring sunlight and responds with a powerful floral display.

2002
Just six years after the restoration cut, the hazel in this coup has enclosed a woodland ride.
